I think I read somewhere that the disciples sleeping in the garden at Jesus’ greatest time of need had something to do with the religious traditions they had been taking part in which involved the drinking of wine and their inability to stay awake was influenced by that… If that is true, I’ve never heard that taught before and it is a great parallel to religious tradition today sometimes putting us to sleep about what really matters… I may use this analogy but want to make sure its accurate.. Help!

Dear Lois – thank you for such wonderful teaching. Please would you do an article on “woman teachers” from a biblical view point. There are main current views, but what was the thinking in biblical times?

Dear Lois,

If I had the resources, I would get “Sitting at the Feet of Rabbi Jesus” in the hands of everyone I know!
For now, I am purchasing one or two copies at a time as I can.

A “thank you” just doesn’t seem to be enough to express how much appreciation I have that you and Ann have written this book. You are addressing the “whys” and opening up the Scriptures to me.

Thank you for opening a door to the Word and letting me sit at the Feet of Rabbi Jesus, just like I am there with Him in the Scriptures. I love Him, and I am gleaning so much from His teaching because of you.

I always missed your write ups you used to write through En-gedi.
All over a sudden you went silent. I last time met you in Western Seminary, but it was at a normal American rush, rush hours and we could not meet at talk. I am one of those who enjoy reading your devotional writings. Remember, most of hebrew culcure are cousins with our African Culture!!!! sounds funny, yet close to true.
